A large portrait engraving of John Bunyan after Robert White

A very large and most wonderful, original engraving of John Bunyan (1628 to 1688).

This piece is early in date, but we cannot pinpoint it. The engraving is after the drawing from life by Robert White preserved in the British Museum (likely engraved by H Robinson).

A fascinating, substantial, original piece. In a good early frame with hand painted marble effect and detailed gilt inner slip, and it’s original hand blown glass.

This engraving is an excellent piece, hand mounted in an original, bespoke, gilded mat. It is simply fantastic, exceptionally rare. It displays beautifully and is so evocative.

A great decorative piece.
