A large Victorian oil painting of a gentleman- French, signed, dated 1848

An handsome, original oil on canvas. Very large size (85cm). French 19th Century.

This piece has absolutely the right look. The pictures don’t do it justice.

It is signed and dated ‘A.Beaumont 1848’, and nicely framed in a period frame, gilded gesso over wood with a green velvet insert. 

A charming statement piece.
