A Grand Tour bust of Hermes

This antique Grand Tour statue depicts a stunning portrayal of Hermes, the Greek God of commerce and messenger of the Gods. The statue is made of plaster and finished in a beautiful faux bronze. The back of Hermes’ shoulder bears an oval maker’s stamp but I cannot make it out. It has good age; it’s not a modern piece. With its neoclassical style and bronzed pattern, this statue is perfect for collectors of classical decorative sculptures.
