A gilded red glass chalice

A very unusual and rare (we cannot find another) gilded metal chalice with cabochon faux ‘jewels’ and a cranberry glass cup.

From the German inscription we believe this piece relates to Wagner’s Parsifal libretto and the Holy Grail legend.

Inscription: Enthüllet den gral - Der glaube lebt, die taube schwebt

Translation: reveal the grail - faith lives, the dove soars (from Wagner).

A superb thing, very similar to one held in the Richard Wagner museum.

Don’t miss this!
