A convex ball mirror

This antique, convex, ball mirror is a statement piece that will work in any period room.

In the Regency style, but likely a late Victorian piece, this mirror has an extra large diameter of 48cm and a beautiful wood and gesso gold frame with reeded and ebonised inner slip.

The surface shape of the mirror is convex and it will both add a touch of elegance to any interior design with a true faded glamour feel, and bounce the light around beautifully.

It has a glass plate with a deep curve (the overall the depth is 7cm).

This mirror is perfect for those who appreciate antique decor and are looking for a unique piece to display.

Condition:

Where there are specific points to note we will detail these as far as possible but please be aware that all our items have wear commensurate with age and are as seen in the photographs. If you require any specific information please do not hesitate to get in contact. As seen in the images, but not limited to: some wear to the surface of the mirror, with foxing at the edges. Split to the inner black wood frame. Losses to the gold gesso and possible replacement balls. Nothing that detracts as seen but it is an old piece with plenty of associated wear.
