A pair of Japanese porcelain vases

A really wonderful pair of porcelain vases, believed to be Japanese.

Early 20th century, though possibly earlier (late 19th century).

These are beautifully hand painted, each with a traditionally dressed lady waving goodbye (or hello!) to a travelling gentleman. Very pretty and delicate.

These display very well.
