A hand painted Madonna and child icon

A truly beautiful wall-mounted religious icon depicting the Madonna and child.

A very large piece at over 31cm.

The icon is three dimensional with the golden coronas standing out from the beautifully detailed, embossed surfaces.

The faces are hand painted in oil and wonderfully detailed.

There are two painted porcelain plaques applied to the icon.

A simply superb piece- probably the best we’ve seen of its kind.
