A 19th Century Windsor armchair

 

A unique and wonderfully charming large ash and elm antique Windsor chair in beautiful condition.

Showing wonderful colour and signs of age, the broad-armed and bow-backed design puts it as Yorkshire-made circa 1840-70.

Beautifully designed, expertly made, extremely sturdy and comfortable, it has lovely patination and is an excellent example of an English Windsor chair, which will add authentic charm to any interior.

Impressively sized, it was expertly made from beautiful ash and elm woods using traditional English 19th century craftsmanship.

The perfect fireside seat- it’s extremely comfortable and is a generous size.

Just wonderfully crafted. A very fine example which will be a joy for a lifetime. A beautifully stylish thing.
