An Italian giltwood and marble rope tassel table

A very rare and wonderful antique Italian table, with that beautiful salmon pink marble top over the rope detail carved legs, it’s a truly stunning piece.

The base is gilded, carved wood which someone has painted white along its life. However, the white paint is water based so literally rubs off with a damp cloth as seen in the images, therefore if you wanted to bring this back to the original gilding that would be highly possible without too much effort.

The fluid lines of the rope tasselling are just so attractive, and so convincing!

Such a stylish piece- the finishing touch to any room. A timeless classic.
