A Victorian wicker laundry basket

An absolutely beautiful old Victorian wicker laundry hamper, complete with period stencils for Lechlade, together with the numbers ‘71’ on both sides and ‘laundry’ on the back.

The lid is bound with old unprocessed leather, and the two brown leather buckle closure straps are present,

It really is a beautiful survivor. We’ve not had one in such good order and with such lovely colouration so don’t delay!

The leather buckle straps are brittle and one has lost its tip so is shorter. One hardwood wooden runner on the base is not attached at one end.
