A Victorian taxidermy leopard rug, mounted in India

A fantastic, early example of a flat taxidermy leopard rug, mounted in India (note the backing material). 

This is a large example. 

Dating to a time when game hunting was a popular pursuit, we would rather this beast was alive but it was created in a very different time to our own with different values and fashions and is now a piece to be saved and treasured. 

A simply superb, period piece for any interior.
