A collection of partial skull fragments from Dunwich

A collection of human skull pieces, found in the mid 1980s on Dunwich Beach, Suffolk.

The previous owner has glued these fragments together.

These may have been washed up, or have been released from the earth directly when the cliff top cemetery above Dunwich Beach collapsed due to natural erosion. This occurred between the turn of the century and the early 1920s. Burials had been performed in the cemetery until around the early 1760s so these bones pre-date that.

One for the true collector and lover of all things anatomical!
