A collection of eight 19th century perfume bottles

An absolutely stunning and supremely rare set of 19th century perfume bottles. These would have been used in creating and mixing fragrances. The ‘extrait triple’ refers to perfume of the deepest and purest strength of scent.

The labels are beautifully hand painted, and the pink is just divine. They read:

White Rose, Wood Violet, Lily of the Valley, Ess Bouquet, Opoponax, Frangipane, White Heliotrope and Stephanotis.

All the stoppers are faceted and catch the light magically. You will not see the like of these again.

Each bottle is large- the skull pictured is life size for scale.

Continental, likely French but possibly Italian.

This set of 8 bottles is one of several different apothecary pieces we currently have on offer.

Dimensions:

H 24cm x W 10cm x D 7cm to the nearest cm.

Condition: Where there are specific points to note we will detail these as far as possible but please be aware that all our items have wear commensurate with age and are as seen in the photographs. If you require any specific information please do not hesitate to get in contact. As seen in the images, but not limited to: one stopper does not remove so will need easing. One bottle has a nibble to the rim as pictured. Otherwise these are in excellent order.
