A Margaret Maitland Howard female torso pencil drawing

A captivating original pencil drawing, professionally matted, framed and glazed in a gilt wooden frame.

An evocative nude female torso, this original pencil drawing depicts a classical, headless and limbless sculpture reminiscent of the Parthenon stone.

It was bought from a collection of pieces by Margaret Maitland Howard (1898-1983) and is signed top right.

A very beautiful piece, of good size and wonderfully decorative.

One of two complimentary Howard drawings on offer.
